A castor oil shampoo bar with rice water for brittle, dry hair that snaps instead of bends.

Brittle hair doesn't need more moisture on the surface — it needs repair at the fiber level. This sulfate-free shampoo bar combines castor oil with Longsheng rice water to cleanse gently while penetrating the hair strand with strengthening amino acids and fatty acids.

Made with the same fermented rice water the Red Yao women of southern China are known for using as their primary hair care treatment. Castor oil adds ricinoleic acid, which supports scalp circulation and helps hair grow in thicker and more flexible. Chamomile soothes the scalp. Rose geranium balances oil production.

Scent: Elegant floral — calming chamomile and soft rose geranium. Soothing, not sweet.

What it feels like: A creamy, gentle lather that doesn't strip. Hair feels softer and more pliable even before conditioning. Dries with noticeably less brittleness.

Switching from liquid shampoo? Brittle hair may need 3–4 washes to recalibrate. The natural oils in this bar need time to replace the silicone coating from your old products.
